hiya, my timing chain has snapped on my 2.2 vectra- would a differant size engine go straight in without having to change anything? as its the 2nd time its snaped and not cheap to get them fixed.

Gearbox would be wrong if the engine size was changed

timing chains very rarely snap. you had a timing belt. big difference.
what is a vectra anyway? and whatever you do, do not take your vehicle back to the mechanic who did your first timing belt replacement - if he would have done it correctly, it would not have snapped. please trust me on this
as the other guy says its a belt, if it snaps it has been fitted wrongly timing chains don't snap
