I have just changed timing chain on my 1.0 corsa?

Now the car chugs on tickover i never used timing tools ,now i have right tools , how do i check timing ,where are the timing marks

Hook the power lead of the Timing light to the + terminal of the battery. Then clamp the inductive pickup to the plug wire attached to the #1 cylinder in the firing order. Once this is done you will need to try to start the car if the car will run you should see a mark on the pulleys that shows as the gun flashes. if your car will not start then someone will need to crank on it while you have the gun pointed at the lower pulley. it is indicated by a notch on the pulley itself I believe. Several factors could be the cause of the sputter . I hope you marked the upper timing gear with a mark to the engine to be sure it was lined up. If not you will need to have someone or mechanic find Top dead center and adjust the crank with the Cam so that the valves and cylinders are matched

most cars open the hood lean left look down by the lower pulley next to the motor wil be a guage and on the lower pulley will be marks
