Actually, you have a timing belt- not a chain. Yes, it does need to be changed too. In fact Toyota recommends every 90,000 miles on it. With the Timing belt service, they will changethe timing belt, water pump, crank and cam seals, and other belts. It will cost you usually between 500-600 dollars but it's worth every penny. That's a great car and it probably won't need another thing until your next timing belt service

it is recomended as average mileage timing belt not chain till 2003 will go and if it does could lose car at any time, so fix it,

Timing chains have no defined replacement interval and should last the life of the car.
Unless you have something with that wretched Ford 4.0L SOHC v6. 150,000 timing chain replacement interval in that case, pull the engine to do it as well.
Timing belts on a crappy car should be replaced at about 100,000 miles but since you have a Toyota it might not be necessary for another 50,000
You should never have to change a Timing chain. If you have a old Honda which has a Timing BELT which is made of rubber, yes, you should change it every 200 000 km. You have a Toyota, You won't ever have to change the timing chain. Especially not a 90 000 km.
4 cyl has a belt interval is 100k miles v6 timing chain maybe a 200k or never usually with the belt the water pump is changed due to the timing belt running it in my area 200-300 its worth it great car with either engine
