Or how do you change timing chain on a 1997 nissan micra?

The changing of a timing chain or belt needs expert knowledge. If it is fitted with just one tooth out it can severely damage your engine.

Get a qualified mechanic to do it to be on the safe side... It will be cheaper in the long run.

Here's a page from australia. Click on the pictures and it will show you how to change it. If you are not a good mechanic I would strongly suggest finding a specialist as setting up the timing can be tricky

if its a timing chain then you don't need to ever change it unless you have a loss of power during driving but if its a timing belt then yea you are gonna want to change it
