Do you have to spilt the crank on a honda crf 70 to change the timing chain?
You can take the stator off, flywheel, and engine cover off. Then take the cam cover and sprocket off and pull the new chain up through the top end.
And you cant feed a cam chain...they are 1 piece chains, and the links are riveted so they dont separate.

but Im thinking .. NO.. you dont have to split the crank.
get a new chain... feed around the cam sprockets.. line the timing up... join the chain..
